January 19, 1996 – October 11, 2007

Jack is 100% German Shepherd Dog, which is to say he's smart, loyal, protective, and loving.  He's got at least two nicknames--"The Shadow" and "Velcro"--because he's always with me.  Some dogs stay close to their owners out of fear, but Jack stays close to me because he's worried something might happen to me if he's not there.  What a friend!
